  DKE's "The Future of HIV/AIDS: A Panel Discussion"


DKE Week continues with tonight The Day of the Scholar event:

The Future of HIV/AIDS: A Panel Discussion

Today - Thursday, May 10 @ 7p



Our Panel includes:
  • Dr. Dexter Voisin of the University of Chicago's School of Social Science Administration. Dr. Voisin will be speaking on Risk Behaviors and Infection Rates among African American Males.
  • Parrie Graham of the University of Illinois will be speaking on Clinical Research of Preventative Vaccine Trials.
  • Rev. Doris Green of the AIDS Foundation of Chicago will be speaking on the presence of HIV/AIDS in Chicago's Correction Facilities and specific steps that we can all take to help make sure that The Future of HIV/AIDS is a short one.
The event will end with a 30 minute Q&A session between the speakers and out audience.

Make sure to come out and participate in tonight's event. This event serves as an informational introduction to DKE's Battle of the Bands Competition this Saturday. Check it out!

UPDATE

This event was a success, as should be expected. Speaking to a group of 50 Undergraduate, these three experts discussed a wide array of HIV/AIDS related topics, from vaccination efforts, to state legislation, to risk behaviors, and AIDS in Correction Facilities. A big thanks to our dynamic speakers and all those who came out to participate in DKE Week's Day of the Scholar.
